A different way to live Tahoe

The lake is the centerpiece.

Tahoe Keys is a waterfront neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe, with homes and townhomes arranged around lagoons and channels. Many properties offer dock access and a route out to Lake Tahoe. The right match starts with the home, the waterfront setting, and the boating rights that actually convey.

Crystal can help you compare waterfront homes, townhomes, dock arrangements, and homes away from the water.

What kinds of boats can go here?

Runabouts, bowriders, ski and wake boats, pontoons, and some cruisers are boat types to evaluate for a Tahoe Keys dock. Sailboats require extra attention to draft and access. Boat type alone does not establish that a particular vessel fits or can navigate to the lake.

Confirm overall length including platforms, beam, loaded draft, slip geometry, turning room, and current channel depth with TKPOA or the marina. Water levels and navigation conditions can change. This guide does not promise a universal maximum boat size.

Three separate questions

1. What comes with the property?
Ask for recorded dock rights, assigned slip documentation, dimensions, permitted use, transfer terms, and maintenance obligations.

2. Will your boat fit?
Have the exact vessel and the full route assessed before relying on dock access.

3. Is the boat approved for Tahoe?
Check engine eligibility, inspections, decontamination, stickers, and operating rules.

Engine & inspection rules

Most carbureted two-stroke engines are prohibited; qualifying direct-injection or certified two-strokes may be allowed. Motorized and trailered watercraft require inspection; check current decontamination requirements before launching.
